The mission of the Gujarat Vintage and Classic Car Club (GVCCC) is to passionately preserve and celebrate automotive heritage.We aim to raise awareness, build community, and offer resources for restoring, maintaining, and enjoying vintage and classic vehicles. Through events, knowledge-sharing, and a shared love for automotive excellence, GVCCC aims to ensure the legacy of these iconic vehicles endures for generations to come.We are committed to organising heritage drives throughout Gujarat, inviting members not only from our club but also from esteemed clubs across India. These drives let us explore Gujarat’s rich history and culture while connecting with other vintage vehicle enthusiasts.

Eligibility

Club Joining Eligibility

To become a proud member of the Gujarat Vintage and Classic Car Club, the preferred eligibility criterion is ownership of a vehicle hailing from either the “Vintage Era” (1921-1940) or the “Classic era” (1941-1960) or modern classics up to 1985. Whether you own a majestic vintage car or a classic beauty. However, if you don’t have such vehicles but have mechanical expertise, access to parts, or networks related to vintage and classic vehicles, we encourage you to put in your application. We want enthusiasts who share our passion for preserving automotive history and building a community dedicated to these iconic eras.

Our Family

Mr. Subodh Nath, the 12th-generation scion and youngest son of the Late Mahant Dhansukhnathji Shivnathji, the 11th Gadipati of Maneknathji at Manekchowk, is not only a distinguished Automobile Engineer but also a passionate car enthusiast. Educated at Rajkumar College, Rajkot, his automotive journey began from driving in Nepal’s forests to establishing a Maruti Authorised Service Station in Ahmedabad, Subodh’s expertise extends to vintage vehicle restoration. In 2012, he founded the Gujarat Vintage and Classic Car Club, hosting successful events and earning global recognition, including the prestigious Cartier’s award.

Participation in Motorsports – Rallying with IARC Gabriel Rally and subsequently in 1980, 1981 & 1982 he participated in the famous Himalayan Car Rally

Mr. Navroz Homi Tarapore, an esteemed industrialist with over 40 years of experience, has left an indelible mark on various sectors. He served as the Chairman of the MSME committee and the CSR committee at GCCI, showcasing his dedication to promoting entrepreneurship and social responsibility. His leadership extends to the Ahmedabad Gymkhana, where he held positions as Secretary and President, contributing to the club’s growth and development. Additionally, His commitment to service is evident through his role as Assistant Governor at Rotary International, where he continues to make a positive impact in the community. As Vice President of GVCCC, He combines his lifelong passion for vintage and classic vehicles with his leadership acumen, enriching the club’s endeavours and fostering a vibrant community of enthusiasts.

Mr. Punjabapu Wala, hailing from a princely family of Mandavgadh in Kathiawad, has an inherent fondness for wildlife, horses, dogs, and vehicles. Inspired by the Gujarat Vintage and Classic Car Club (GVCCC), he expanded his collection from 3 cars to a total of  21 cars in just 21 months, showcasing his drive for vintage vehicles. As a dedicated enthusiast, He has attended every 21 Gun Salute Concours since its inception and actively participates in prestigious events like the Heritage Festival in Baroda and the FHVI Heritage Drive from Ahmedabad to Jaipur. He also served as the curator for the highly successful Vintage Cars Show during the renowned VADFEST. Beyond his love for vintage vehicles, Punjabapu is a respected figure in education as the founder director of the Sunshine School and a prominent member of various heritage and conservation associations, including the Heritage Tourism Association of Gujarat, WWF, Equestrian Society, INKC, and Wilson College Alumni.

Mr. Chandan Nath, a prominent figure in the realm of advertising and branding, boasts a rich heritage deeply rooted in vintage and classic vehicles. As the 13th Mahant of the Guru Manek Nath Gaadi, he carries forward a legacy of reverence and tradition. With a distinguished career, including a tenure as President of Mudra Advertising. Born into a family with a longstanding passion for vintage vehicles spanning four generations, Mr. Chandan’s profound connection to these automotive treasures is ingrained in his upbringing. As a founding member, his invaluable expertise and enthusiasm contribute significantly to the endeavours of our club. The man has a deep passion for restoration and isn’t hesitant to roll up his sleeves and get a little grease under his fingernails.

Abhishek Subodhchandra Nath, educated at The Daly College Ahmedabad, is deeply involved in the world of loving and preserving old vehicles. Born into one of Ahmedabad’s oldest families, he carries a rich legacy of automotive appreciation in his blood. He is a dedicated restorer of vintage and classic automobiles, nurturing family heirlooms and preserving automotive history with utmost care. His expertise and commitment to the craft make him an integral part of the club and the go to person for anybody stuck in their restoration projects.

Mr. Harsheed Tarapore is both a passionate and professional car enthusiast, with a deep-seated love for vintage automobiles. As a skilled restorer and collector of vintage vehicles, he has dedicated himself to preserving automotive heritage through meticulous restoration projects. His commitment to the community is further evidenced by his role as a founding member of the club, where he actively contributes to build a vibrant community of enthusiasts.
